IEM’s MV Metal-Enclosed Utility Metering Cabinet provides the customer with the flexibility and cost savings of a completely factoryassembled primary utility metering cabinet with the customer’s option of voltage and current transformers. In addition, the customer has the flexibility of choosing between two distinct VT disconnect switches based on required features and advantages. The VT disconnect switch’s open/closed position can be easily seen through viewing windows making the metering cabinet very safe during maintenance.

IEM Difference
Fully rated bus is based on density ratings, not UL heat rise tests, resulting in more bus and lower operating temperatures.
All enclosures are finished using a state-of-the-art powder coating system providing an indoor finish that exceeds the 1500 hour salt spray testing requirement for outdoor equipment to 3000 hours.
Component and metering selections are based on value engineering for the application and optimized to meet specifications.
Technical Specifications
- IEM Switchboards meet or exceed applicable industry standards, including UL891, CSA, NEMA standards PB-2, NEMA 1 and NEMA 3R enclosures. Uses UL489 or UL1066 listed breakers
- IEM Switchboards meet seismic testing, circuit requirements as outlined by IEEE344 and ICC-ES-AC156.
