March, 4, 2021 - Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM), leader in the design and manufacturing of electrical distribution and control systems, is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new 160,000 sq. ft. facility in Surrey, B.C.
Previously operating out of three facilities in the greater Vancouver region, the new larger manufacturing plant will help the expansion of our Canadian operation fueled by IEM’s steady growth in North America.
The newly constructed facility will accommodate leading-edge manufacturing technologies, including sheet metal fabrication and paint capabilities, as well as lean equipment layout and automated workflow, resulting in increased efficiency, and better overall customer experience.
“We are extremely proud to move into our new facility,” said Guy Anderson, Vice President of IEM. “The larger, more modern facility will allow us to continue to deliver high quality and innovative products and solutions for our customers.”
The new facility will also continue IEM’s commitment to Covid-19 safety requirements and protocols. The health and safety of our employees continues to be the first consideration in our organization, and we will continue to promote them in every operational aspect.
Headquartered in Fremont, CA, IEM also has manufacturing facilities in Jacksonville, FL as well as Sales and Engineering offices throughout North America.
