TEST & INSPECTION SUPERVISOR - JACKSONVILLE,FL
Purpose of Position

In the position of Test & Inspection Supervisor, you will be responsible for scheduling all testing and inspection personnel to meet required run rates and ship dates.  While implementing quality control systems designed to ensure our products meet applicable industry quality standards.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise a team of QC inspectors and technicians that assist in the inspection of equipment and components at various stages of the production cycle, while assisting Scheduling and Commercial Service Departments in preparing overall production planning and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis /Corrective action implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  •  Issuing quality alerts.
  •  Creating work instructions based on inspection findings.
  •  Create service information letters/ technical service bulletins.
  •  Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure the maintenance of standards. In order to further assist in the continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
  •  Maintain accurate documentation.
  •  Working closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is correctly maintained and implement any new changes or adaptations based on a quality review.
  •  Inspect various parts of manufacturing including products, components, processes, and comparing against predefined standards.
  • Develop custom test reports as required, assist the Field Service Department with detailed site acceptance documentation when needed.
  • Work with Test/Admin to confirm all test reports, time, redlines and vendor supplied reports are properly filed prior to equipment shipping.
  •  Investigate and work with Engineering to resolve technical issues.
  • Work with the Automation group on programing of multi-function meters, protective relays and multi-function controllers as well as Testing of PLC and HMI programs.
  • Perform dielectric strength testing per all regulatory standards, initial powering of A/C, D/C control circuits.
  • Provide training and support to staff as needed.
  • Verify proper operation of equipment per IEM drawings and sequence of operation.
  • Perform other duties which may be required by your manager.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production preferred.

Environment:                Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold,                                                   wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
