TECHNICAL PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR - Surrey, BC
Purpose of Position

As a Technical Program Administrator – Switchgear, you will be responsible for maintaining effectiveness by ensuring documentation standards and procedures are regularly updated to reflect current practices. This alignment with evolving business needs guarantees relevance and efficiency. Continuous review and adaptation are essential to stay competitive and meet organizational goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Work directly with Commercial and Engineering groups to prepare product submittal packages for a full portfolio of applications.
  • Track customer submittals against production version at time of deployment and provide revisions to original submittals as needed.
  • Create Operation & Maintenance Manuals from templates, as revisions, or as original documents.
  • Provide assistance to design engineering professionals in order to ensure accurate design documentation.
  • Monitor and coordinate the overall timing and flow of both Product Submittal and O&M documentation releases for projects, ensuring that schedules are being met.
  • Ensure that documentation standards and procedures keep pace with current practices and business requirements. 
  • Advise management when changes to documentation standards and procedures are needed and assist in development of new standards and procedures to improve quality and efficiency. 
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners, customers and industry contacts (where required), in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all affected departments are well informed and provided with timely updates on open projects/concerns.
  • Responsible for the creation and release of product engineering documentation for project specific applications. This documentation is the basis of design for product manufactured to the plans and specifications of our clients.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in documentation management in a busy/fast paced environment is required. 
  • Being flexible and exhibiting an outgoing/service-oriented and positive personality is a must.
  • Advanced knowledge of Bluebeam and/or Adobe or another PDF editor is required.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal skills are essential. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are also required.
  • The ability to prioritize and be effective with many “moving pieces” without supervision is a must.

Salary Range

  • $50,000 - $70,000 annually
