STRATEGY CONSULTANT - FREMONT, CA
Purpose of Position
As the Strategy Consultant at IEM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic initiatives of the organization. This position reports directly to the Strategy Manager and involves working closely with leadership to drive long-term value creation and enhance the company's competitive position in the power distribution and switchgear market.
Essential Functions:
- Works directly with senior leadership team and strategy team to develop strategy and implementation plans
- Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor assessments, and industry research to identify growth opportunities and potential risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies
- Monitor and analyze business performance against established metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
- Supports Strategy Manager managing day to day operations and communications, especially preparation and facilitation of internal and external communications with employees, investors and the Board
- Conduct market research to identify M&A activities from competitors as well as identify opportunities for potential inorganic market expansion for IEM
- Work with 3rd party consulting firms to project manage and deliver on initiatives in support of corporate strategy & market development
- Support development of internal communications to IEM staff and select groups to inform on strategic developments across different parts of the organization, coordinating and driving all-hands and management discussions
- Work closely with finance teams to develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets aligned with strategic objectives
- As required, travel to manufacturing or field service offices of IEM to meet with team members and management teams

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, operations or similar role where structuring ambiguous problems, using data to tackle those problems, and communicating the results to executives were key
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendation
- Familiarity with data center industry a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with Private Equity-owned environments and the dynamics of the manufacturing and industrial industries
Salary Range: $140,000.00 To $160,000.00 Annually DOE
