SENIOR PLANNING ANALYST - JACKSONVILLE,FL
Purpose of Position
The Senior Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting corporate planning initiatives that drive strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Planning, this role involves analyzing data, forecasting, and developing reports to inform company-wide planning efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically driven, and experienced in supporting corporate strategy and planning functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning Support - Collaborate with the Director of Planning to develop and implement strategic corporate planning initiatives. Facilitate cross-departmental coordination to ensure alignment with planning objectives.
Data Analysis and Forecasting - Analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights on business trends, financial performance, and operational efficiency. Prepare detailed forecasts, budgets, and performance models to support decision-making. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to corporate planning projects.
Project Management - Lead planning-related projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of planning initiatives. Identify potential risks in planning processes and propose solutions to mitigate them.
Reporting and Presentation - Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards that communicate planning progress, outcomes, and insights to the Director of Planning and executive leadership. Develop visualizations, presentations, and summaries that effectively convey complex data to a variety of audiences. Ensure accuracy and consistency in all reporting related to planning activities.
Continuous Improvement - Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in planning operations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance corporate planning functions. Contribute to the development and implementation of new planning tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPIM, PMP) is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably within an electrical manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience conveying complex information to executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset.
