PDU FLOOR LEAD - JACKSONVILLE,FL
Purpose of Position
This position is responsible primarily for production priority execution across all teams, to ensure corrective/preventative actions with respect to quality are carried out, and to monitor/communicate any risks associated with meeting the overall production schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Supports the PDU Supervisor and performs supervisory duties in their absence or when out of the office.
- Ensures the Leads & Team Coordinators execute the production schedule and priorities as communicated by the PDU Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
- Optimizes production efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
- Collaborates on the development, continuous improvement, and maintenance of policies and procedures designed to efficiently produce PDU.
- Trains and mentors Leads & Team Coordinators to ensure that the production staff consistently delivers quality work. Routinely inspects all areas for first-time quality work.
- Takes ownership of preventative and/or corrective actions related to quality and addresses root causes with all teams.
- Communicates consumable and material needs and shortages to the PDU Supervisor and Material Manager before they impact production.
- Provides technical expertise and responds to questions from the team.
- Assists with personnel issues on the floor involving HR.
- Assists with hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Plans and schedules projects and personnel to meet company objectives.
- Monitors each project to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Analyzes all available information to meet project deadlines.
- Communicates job expectations, including planning and monitoring, to production leads.
- Assigns personnel to specific jobs.
- Examines each project prior to testing to minimize errors.
- Ensures adherence to safe work practices.
- Ensures production equipment and tools are properly maintained.
- Interacts with various departments daily to gather information for starting and completing projects.
- Ensures schematics and materials are available to complete projects.
- Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Technical Degree (BS) preferred or at least 2.5 years’ experience in associated manufacturing field.
- At least 1 year of direct supervisory experience with production, engineering, warehouse and quality functions in a manufacturing/plant environment with emphasis on electrical assembly.
