MANUFACTURING DATA ANALYST - FREMONT, CA
Purpose of Position
The Manufacturing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various departments within the manufacturing process. This role is critical in supporting data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).
Essential Functions:
Data Collection and Management:
- Gather and compile data from various manufacturing departments (e.g., production, quality control, supply chain).
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collected.
- Organize data in databases and spreadsheets for easy access and analysis.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Process Improvement:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights.
- Assist in identifying areas of inefficiency and suggest data-based solutions.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present data analysis reports to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in the development of documentation for data collection processes and procedures.
Education:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, etc.).
- Basic understanding of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and KPIs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $130,000.00 DOE
