ELECTRICAL DESIGN COORDINATOR - JACKSONVILLE, FL
Purpose of Position

The Electrical Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting the engineering team by managing and maintaining technical documentation, tracking engineering change notices, maintaining engineering systems and tools through data entry and follow-up, coordinating engineering assignments, and assisting in process improvements related to documentation and scheduling. This role ensures accurate and timely engineering deliverables by working closely with engineers, administrators, and management to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain an up-to-date schedule of engineering assignments and adjust schedules as necessary based on project changes.
  • Track and manage Engineering Change Notices (CNs), ensuring they are scheduled and entered into tracking tools.
  • Enter due dates for engineering deliverables into internal systems and maintain accurate project schedules.
  • Follow up with engineers on assigned due dates to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with engineering managers and team leads during order entry to assign project engineers and estimate project timelines.
  • Coordinate and manage internal engineering drawing reviews for new designs and process Engineering Transmittals.
  • Utilize various internal software platforms and data-driven applications to pull reports, track progress, and suggest process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Administrators and Management to identify and resolve common engineering process challenges.
  • Help author and track feedback/ drive review of documentation to drive to release
  • Organize and analyze engineering data to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Assist in the deployment and support of engineering efficiency tools and workflows.
  • Work outside the electrical design department as required to support order processing and other business needs.
  • Provide backup support for engineering administration at other offices when needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in coordination, project scheduling, or a similar role.
  • Experience with documentation, change management processes, and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document control systems, and project tracking tools.
  • Experience working with ERP, PLM, or other business support systems is beneficial.
