EHS DIRECTOR - US FLEXIBLE
Purpose of Position
Lead EHS compliance both strategically and tactically, by building a team of safety professionals that support operations in the field at customer sites and internal facilities. This role will oversee the development of a comprehensive EHS management system that includes auditing, regulatory interface and standards development and execution.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leading the EHS compliance assurance program and assisting the business units in implementing a consistent and standard program across facilities and customer sites.
- Outlining company wide and business specific compliance assurance goals, targets and KPIs.
- Monitoring and reporting corrective action closure ensuring timely and sustainable solutions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence. Elevating KPIs and reviewing with senior leadership during regular operational reviews.
- Providing technical support and guidance on regulatory requirements and assist in developing solutions for complex compliance requirements and standards. Assemble competent teams to resolve challenges and reduce risk of non-compliance.
- Training leaders on EHS requirements. Instilling a safety culture throughout the organization and supporting a grassroots culture. Developing and ensuring EHS teams are trained and have adequate competency to complete audits, reviews and investigations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental or a related field from an accredited college or university
- 15+ years of experience in EHS with a demonstrated ability to develop and roll out company level assurance programs and initiatives.
- Experience working with multiple locations and leaders.

- Solid business acumen with substantial leadership experience
- Advanced degree or certifications in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Risk
- Experience with PSM, IH, auditing, ISO 45001
