EAST REGION BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - US FLEXIBLE

Essential Functions:

As East Region Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for working with Engineers, End Users, Industrial & Institutional customers in our target markets.  The BDM will own the relationship with consultants within their territory.  The BDM is responsible for putting IEM in an advantageous specification position and assisting consultants with equipment layouts and designs.  You will need to learn about IEM equipment and become an expert on all IEM products. You will be a resource to the Sales Engineers & National Account Managers for specification assistance and substitution requests.  You will be responsible for attending industry specific events (i.e. trade shows, IEEE Meetings, vertical market events, etc.).  You will be responsible for conducting market research to identify new markets and products to meet customers’ needs.  You will also be responsible for any additional duties as required by the Director of Business Development. 

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical proposals, and specifications.
  • Subject Matter Expert of LV & MV switchgear and previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with complex proposals/quotations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills are a must.
  • Experience with controls and/or PLC/HMI controls is preferred.
  • Experience in microgrid solutions is preferred.
  • Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and LV equipment design is preferred.
