ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (DESIGN/PRODUCT SUPPORT) - JACKSONVILLE, FL
Purpose of Position
The Engineer will support our low and medium voltage product engineering, automation and service efforts.
Essential Functions:
- Create drawing packages for manufacture of custom switchgear and switchboards to applicable industry standards
- Support production during the product construction and testing
- Work with mechanical designers to layout out and create rough front views/plan views of switchgear and switchboards.
- Select components and create detailed bills of materials for our products
- May entail programming assignments for automation components, protective relays, digital meters, communication devices, etc.
- Complete short field assignments where troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, mechanical or electrical installation or design consultation is required (generally less than 5 days at a time and not to exceed 35% of total time)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Autocad drafting software
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles as they apply to power industry
- Project/Task management and the ability to carry out a plan that moves a task to completion.
